We are happy to announce the launch of our new research project, Cooperative Childrearing in Middle Childhood and Biosocial Pathways to Adolescent Wellbeing, funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (grant ref ES/Z503393/1).

This project will use the Avon Longitudinal Study of Parents and Children, also known as the "children of the 90s" study, to investigate how primary school children were looked after by different caregivers in the late 90s/early 00s, and if this had an impact on teen behaviour and mental health later on. In short, we want to know how the social "caregiver environment" in middle childhood impacts adolescent outcomes!

Dr Luisa Rivera has joined the team to lead on the delivery of the project. Welcome Luisa!

Have any questions? Feel free to contact the principal investigator and project manager, Dr Emily Emmott.
